Neutralisation
A reaction between an acid and a base to produce a salt and water.
Strong acid
An acid that completely dissociates in water to produce a high concentration of H+ ions.
Strong base
A base that completely dissociates in water to produce a high concentration of OH- ions.
Neutral salt
A salt formed from the reaction of a strong acid and a strong base, resulting in a neutral pH solution.

Compounds that contain the carbonate ion (CO3) and react with acids to form salts, carbon dioxide, and water.
