Schedule

Attendance

Absent
When someone is not where they should be, like class or a meeting.

Skip class
When someone chooses not to go to class.

A prediction of future atmospheric conditions based on meteorological data.
Climate
The long-term average of weather patterns in a specific geographic area.
Precipitation
Water that falls to the earth's surface in forms such as rain, snow, or hail.
Humidity
A measure of the quantity of water vapor present in the air.
Pattern
A predictable or regular sequence of events or features.
Weather front
A transition boundary between two different air masses.
Cloudy
A weather condition characterized by the sky being covered with clouds.
Rainy
Characterized by significant or frequent rainfall.
Windy
An atmospheric condition with high air velocity.
Sunny
Characterized by clear skies and bright sunlight.
Snowstorm
A severe weather event featuring heavy snowfall and often strong winds.
Thunderstorm
A storm involving heavy rain, lightning, and thunder.
Slippery
A surface condition, often caused by ice or water, that makes it easy for objects to slide or for people to fall.

A dry, barren biome with very little annual precipitation.
Dangerous
Able or likely to cause harm or injury.
Heading
A title or label at the top of a text or section.
Fact
A piece of information that can be objectively proven to be true.
Graphic
A visual representation used to illustrate or explain information.
Caption
A brief text explanation that accompanies a picture or illustration.
Immigrant
A person who moves to a foreign country to settle there permanently.
Emigrate
To leave one's home country to live permanently in another.

Refugee
A person forced to flee their home country due to war, persecution, or natural disaster.
Slave
A person who is forced to work against their will and is considered legal property of another.
Push factor
A negative condition that motivates or forces individuals to leave their home region.
Pull factor
A positive attribute or opportunity that attracts individuals to move to a new location.
Natural disaster
A major event caused by nature, such as an earthquake or flood, resulting in significant damage.
Barrier
An obstacle that prevents movement or access.
Persecution
Systematic mistreatment or hostility directed at a person or group based on their identity or beliefs.
Tool
An object used to perform a specific task or function.
Data
Information, facts, or statistics collected for reference or analysis.
Angle
The space between two rays that share a common vertex, measured in degrees (∘).
X axis
The horizontal line in a coordinate plane (x-axis).
Y axis
The vertical line in a coordinate plane (y-axis).
Bar graph
A chart using rectangular bars to compare values across different categories.
Histogram
A graphical representation that uses bars to show frequency distributions of data.
Line graph
A chart that connects data points with lines to show changes over time.
Pie chart
A circular diagram divided into proportional slices to show parts of a whole.
Table
A systematic arrangement of numerical or textual data in rows and columns.
Number range
The difference or interval between the lowest and highest values in a dataset (Xmax−Xmin).
Category
A group of things sharing similar characteristics used for classification.
News
Information about current or recent events.
Current events
Important social, political, or economic events happening in the world presently.
Journalist
A professional who collects, writes, and distributes news stories.
Reporter
A person who provides news accounts and conducts interviews for media broadcasts or publications.
Research
The systematic investigation of sources and materials to establish facts.
Source
A person, document, or place from which information is obtained.
