Poetry
A form of writing expressed in verse, typically with metre and rhyme, arranged in stanzas; may include free verse with no fixed metre or rhyme.
Free verse
Poetry without a regular metre, rhyme, or fixed form.
Prose
Written language in ordinary speech or paragraph form, not arranged as verse; includes novels, short stories, essays, etc.
Novel
A long narrative work divided into chapters, often with many characters and events, spanning a long period.
Short story
A brief narrative with one or a few characters and a single, focused event or impression.
Play (Drama)
A dramatic work intended for performance on stage, usually divided into acts and scenes.
Legend
A traditional story about origins or beliefs, often explaining how something came to be.
Fable
A short didactic story, often with animals as characters, designed to teach a moral.
Anecdote
A brief, often fictional or true, narrative used to illustrate a point or teach a lesson.
Essay
A prose piece expressing the author's viewpoint, analysis, or argument on a topic.
Biography
A written account of a person’s life, whether public or private.
News (Balita)
A report of everyday events in society, government, industry, science, disasters, and other topics.
Speech
A formal address delivered to an audience, aimed at informing, persuading, or explaining.
Parable
A simple, didactic story, often biblical, intended to teach a moral.
Introduction
The opening part of a text that presents the topic and should engage the reader.
Body
The main part of a text where content is presented, explained, described, or argued.
Conclusion
The ending of a text that summarizes or wraps up the discussion and should be engaging.
Enumeration (Paglilista ng mga detalye)
An organizing method that presents ideas or details one by one, often in order from start to finish.
Analysis
A method of examining components to explain their relationships and significance.
Comparison and Equivalence (Paghahambing at Pagtutumbas)
Examining two or more things to identify similarities and differences or establish equivalence.
Cause and Origin (Sanhi at pinagmulan)
Discussing the source or cause of something and where it comes from.
Problem and Solution
A structural pattern where a problem is introduced and the text develops how to resolve it.
