What challenges did Moses and the Israelites face during their Exodus?
After they left the Red Sea, Moses led the Israelites through the Shur Desert for three days but they couldn’t find any water. They found water at Marah but it was bitter to drink. The Israelites started to doubt and get angry at Moses. However, God helped them by telling Moses to throw a piece of wood into the water and the water was fit to drink.
\ The Israelities complained because they had no bread or meat to eat so God provided them with manna which is bread from the heaven for all 40 years of the Exodus.

He prayed for mercy and God relented from his harm. Moses was struggling but he still continued to follow God’s instructions and everything he could do to fulfill his role of leader.

During his first 40 years, he lived in Egypt. During his second 40 years, he lived in the Land of Midian. During his final 40 years, he lead the children of Israel through the wilderness.

Describe Moses’s faith in God.
Moses’s life began with the faith of his parents. He faced death when he was born just like Jesus Christ. Everything Moses did when he was old enough to understand the plight of his people was with faith. Faith gives people the weapon necessary to overcome the toughest situations and faith gives the strength persevere and pursue.

Describe how Moses was patient and persistent?
Moses continued to go to the Pharoah and continuously sought the release of the Israelities. Despite the Pharoah’s stubbornness, Moses continued to make his way to the Pharoah’s presence and ask for the release. The Pharoah always denied the request and made the task of brickmaking hard for the Israelities. However, Moses still trusted in God and his promise. Moses was additionally patient with the people even when the people complained constantly and solved every problem with God’s guidance.

Describe how Moses is obedient?
He did whatever God told him to do even if the people wanted him to do something else. When faced with problems it is easy to forget what God wants us to do and instead do what we want. Moses constantly dealt with the Israelites rebelling against him and God. Moses always pleaded to God on behalf of the people and God always gave him guidance. Following God’s commandments weren’t easy but Moses still obeyed God when the people wanted him to rebel.
