Task: Deal with the situation professionally and stop it escalating.

Action: I stayed calm, listened, explained what I could and brought the issue to my team leader.

Result: The situation was dealt with professionally.

Situation: I previously wasn't successful in the Garda recruitment process.

Task: Deal with the disappointment and improve.

Action: I reflected on the setback, looked at how I could improve, changed my approach and continued developing myself.

Result: I came back, applied again and passed Stage 1.

Situation: I was completing my Security course with multiple projects and modules while managing training and personal responsibilities.

Task: Complete everything on time and maintain a high standard.

Action: I organised my workload, tracked deadlines, prioritised important tasks and managed my time.

Result: I completed all my modules and achieved Distinctions.

Interpersonal Ethos Wedding (Busy)

Situation: I was working at a very busy wedding. There was pressure, and some people were difficult or rude.

Task: Work effectively with others while continuing to provide good service.

Action: I stayed respectful and professional, communicated with others and focused on getting the work done without allowing their behaviour to affect my service.

Result: I got through the event professionally and continued providing good service.

Using Information and Problem Solving Financial

Situation: I was being paid fortnightly and had several financial responsibilities, including rent, savings, personal expenses and paying for my interview preparation course.

Task: Work out how to manage my income so I could cover everything.

Action: I calculated my income and expenses, prioritised essential payments and worked out how much I could realistically put towards savings and personal spending.

Result: I was able to manage my responsibilities, pay for what I needed and still put money towards savings.
