Parallelism

Coordinating Conjunction

Connects words, phrases, or independent clauses that are roughly equal in importance and grammatical structure

Correlative Conjunctions

Pairs of conjunctions that work together to coordinate two items

Modifiers

Words that modify their sentences’ meaning by adding details and clarifying facts or by differentiating between people, events, or objects

Limiting Modifiers

Words, phrases, or clauses that add detail by describing the limits a noun, pronoun, or other subject in a sentence faces

Squinting Modifiers

Ambiguous modifier that could logically modify either the word before or after it; usually adverbs placed between two words or phrases

Dangling Modifiers

Modifier that doesn’t modify any specific word in the sentence
