Phalanges
The bones of the fingers, consisting of distal, middle, and proximal segments.
Metacarpals
The five long bones in the hand connecting the wrist to the fingers.
Carpal Bones
Eight small bones that make up the wrist, arranged in two rows.
Olecranon
The bony prominence of the elbow, located at the proximal end of the ulna.
Coronoid Process
A hooked projection of bone found on the ulna.
Trochlear Notch
The large depression on the proximal end of the ulna that articulates with the humerus.
Radial Styloid Process
A bony projection found on the lateral aspect of the distal radius.
Radial Tuberosity
An oval eminence on the medial aspect of the radius, just distal to the neck.
Radioulnar Joint
The articulation between the radius and the ulna at both proximal and distal ends.
Metacarpophalangeal (MCP) Joint
The joint between the head of the metacarpal and the base of the proximal phalanx.
Distal Interphalangeal (DIP) Joint
The joint between the head of the middle phalanx and the base of the distal phalanx.
Proximal Interphalangeal (PIP) Joint
The joint between the head of the proximal phalanx and the base of the middle phalanx.
Radiocarpal Joint
The joint formed between the scaphoid, lunate, and triquetrum with the radius.
Sesamoids
Small bones located within tendons that provide reinforcement and protect joints.
Carpometacarpal (CMC) Joint
The joint between the distal carpal bones and the bases of the metacarpals.
