What is a phenotype?

A phenotype is the expression of the genotype and its interaction with the environment.

How do you calculate the number of possible chromosome combinations (due to meiosis)?

Number of possible chromosomes = 2^n

(n = number of homologous pairs)

What is non-disjunction of chromosomes?

Non-disjunction is when individual homologous pairs fail to seperate during meiosis, resulting in the gamete having one more or one less chromosome than it should.

Which stage does non-disjunction take place in?

Meiosis 2

What is evolution?

The gradual change of a species characteristic over time due to selection pressures.

What is genetic drift?

When the allele frequencies in a population change over time.
