the ureters are
Bilateral muscular tubes that extend from the renal pelvis to the urinary bladder
the most proximal portion of the ureter is the point at which the
ureter is attached to the renal pelvis
where the ureter is attached to the renal pelvis is referred to as the
ureteropelvic junction
the point at which the ureter meets the urinary bladder is referred to as the
trigone of the bladder
the purpose of the ureters is to
propel urine from the kidneys to the urinary bladder
the ureters achieve the moving of urine by means of
peristalsis and gravity
