Munich Agreement
Agreement signed on 15th and 22nd September 1938 between Hitler and Chamberlain, transferring areas of the Sudetenland to Germany with the approval of British, French, and Czech governments.
Munich Conference
Conference held on 29th September 1938 involving Chamberlain, Hitler, Mussolini, and Deladier, where the Sudetenland was to be transferred to Germany over 10 days and plebiscites were to be held in areas of doubt over nationality.
Appeasement
Policy followed by Chamberlain in the Munich Agreement, seen as a failure to protect Czechoslovakia and avoid conflict with Hitler.
Yalta Conference
Conference held on February 4th, 1945, involving Stalin, Churchill, and Roosevelt, discussing post-war plans for Germany, the establishment of the UN, and the division of Germany into occupation zones.
Potsdam Conference
Conference held in July 1945 after Germany's surrender, involving Truman, Stalin, and Attlee, marked by disagreements over Poland, Germany's future, and the Ruhr, but agreements on denazification, government of Germany, and reparations.
