What is the environment?
The full set of physical circumstances in which an organism exists.
What is a stimulus?
An energy change that affects an organism through its receptor cells.
What is a stimulus class?
A group of stimuli that share specified common elements along formal, temporal, and/or functional dimensions.
What is an antecedent?
An environmental condition or stimulus change that occurs before the behavior of interest.
What is a consequence?
A stimulus change that follows a behavior.
What are the three parts of the three-term contingency?
Antecedent → Behavior → Consequence (A-B-C).
What is a contingency?
A temporal and/or functional relationship between behavior and environmental events; commonly, it refers to a consequence being dependent on the occurrence of a behavior.
