Trigeminal Nerve

Sensory fibers from cornea, scalp, forehead, face, teeth; voluntary motor fibers for mastication.

Abducens Nerve

Voluntary motor fibers to eye muscles.

Facial Nerve

Voluntary motor fibers for facial expression; sensory fibers for taste (anterior 2/3 of tongue); autonomic fibers to salivary and lacrimal glands.

Vestibulocochlear Nerve

Sensory fibers for hearing and equilibrium.

Glossopharyngeal Nerve

Sensory fibers for taste (posterior 1/3 of tongue) and general sensation; voluntary motor fibers to pharyngeal muscles; autonomic fibers to parotid salivatory gland.

Vagus Nerve

Voluntary motor fibers to muscles in pharynx and larynx; autonomic fibers to thoracic and abdominal organs.

Accessory Nerve

Voluntary motor fibers to muscle of larynx & soft palate; Voluntary motor fibers to sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles.

Hypoglossal Nerve

Voluntary motor fibers to the tongue.
