Must be used before the tardy bell or after the teacher finishes instruction; students must use a hand signal for permission and never get up in the middle of class to sharpen pencils.
Pencil Sharpener Rules
The teacher's property; students are not to use them unless otherwise instructed.
Teacher Chairs
Students should refer to the wall clock or classroom schedule rather than interrupting the teacher to ask how much longer until class is over.
Clock/Dismissal Rules
Teacher’s Desk Protocol
Students must never touch anything on the desk and should only approach it for emergencies; otherwise, they must raise their hand and stay in their seat.
Turn-in Trays
Organized by period number, these are the only locations for turning in papers; students must ensure their names are on their work.
Chromebook Carts Rules
Students may only touch or grab a device with permission, may not change settings, and must not shut someone else's screen.
Whiteboard/TV Rules
Students are never to touch, draw, erase, or use these items without teacher permission.
Stapler Rules
May be used when turning in work but must be returned to its spot; not to be used for arts and crafts without permission.
Sanitizer & Tissues Rules
Tissues are grabbed when needed; sanitizer is used on the way in, out, or after a tissue, but not in the middle of instruction.
Trash Can Rules
Requires permission to use; students should not use it during instruction except in emergencies and must clean up after themselves before leaving.
Water Fountain Rules
Drinks should be taken before the tardy bell or upon exiting; during class, students must use a hand signal when the teacher is not instructing.

Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
Rule 3
Respect classmates, teachers, and the school.
Rule 4
The first consequence where a student is told to stop what they are doing and follow the rules.
Redirect
The second consequence where a student must pick up their belongings and move to a desk away from everyone else.
Sideline
The third consequence, which must be signed by a guardian and returned the next day.
Parent Letter Home
The fourth consequence involving removal from the classroom to complete and return a reflection sheet.

Reflection Sheet
A document used during Think Time to identify what happened, which rule was affected, what choice was made, and how to improve next time.
