Created to choose the national language of the Philippines.

Chosen as the base of the national language (wikang pambansa) on Nov 9, 1937.

Mandated the teaching of wikang pambansa in all schools (both public and private) as of April 12, 1940.

Reinforced the teaching of wikang pambansa in schools by DepEd.
Wikang Pambansa in Grade 10
Became a subject in 4th year high school on May 3, 1940.
