Survey
A method for collecting information from a sample of individuals by asking questions to construct quantitative descriptors of the larger population.
Expert survey
Surveys targeting individuals with specialized knowledge on a specific subject, chosen through non-random, purposive sampling.
Non-expert survey
Surveys targeting individuals without specialized knowledge, commonly using either random or non-random sampling techniques.
Cognitions
The mental processes of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses, including judgments and evaluations.
Close-ended questions
Questions with defined response categories that facilitate comparisons across respondents by standardizing their answers.
Generalizability
