How do you care for someone who is going into shock due to profuse bleeding?
You reduce effects or try to eliminate the cause of the shock. Position the victim based on injuries or illness to improve circulation. Attempt to stop the bleeding.
When do you apply a heat and cold pack?
When a person has been exposed to extremely cold or hot temperatures and has contracted heat stroke/exhaustion or frostbite. You may also put a cold pack when experiencing a strain or sprain.
What is the purpose of a cover letter?
A cover letter explains the contents of another document and serves to get you an interview.
How do you give breaths to an unconscious patient?
Open airway using head-tilt/chin-lift method with one hand on forehead and fingertips on the jawbone closest to you.

Use sterilized tweezers to grasp and pull out the splinter.

How do you care for a chemical spill?
Alert personnel, secure area, contain the spill, flush affected areas with copious amounts of water for 15-30 minutes or until medical assistance arrives if splashed.
How do you treat dislocation?
Treat for shock if patient is experiencing it; keep the dislocated bone from moving; prevent further injury; use slings or splints; obtain medical help.
How to treat a sprain?
Apply a cold application to decrease swelling and pain; elevate the affected part; apply elastic bandage to provide support. (Follow RICE: Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation)
How to treat protruding organs?
Apply sterile dressing over organs that are protruding.
How to treat for CVA?
Transport patient to hospital to get medical care within the first three hours. Maintain respirations, lie victim flat on their back with head slightly elevated or on the side to allow secretions to drain from mouth.
How do you treat convulsions?
Do not use force to restrain muscle movements. Move patients to the floor and protect their head. Try to remove scarves or ties. Obtain medical help if seizure lasts for more than a minute, if hey do not have a history with seizures, or do not regain consciousness.
