Family-Centred Service
A set of values, attitudes, and approaches to services for children with special needs and their families that recognizes each family as unique and as the experts on their child's abilities and needs.
Service Provider
Individuals who work directly with the child and family, such as educational assistants, therapists, and service coordinators.
Organization
Places or groups from which the child and family receive services, including community programs, hospitals, and schools.
Intervention
Services and supports provided by professionals working with the child and family, which may include therapy, advocacy, and problem-solving meetings.
