what did pavlov find initially
that when a dog encounters stimuli of food
they start to salivate
procedure
a lab experiment , to see if stimuli would evoke response
then used a neutral stimuli like a metronome( ticking sound or bell)
When the ticking was associated with the food, the dog would condition those two stimuli and salivate
Conclusion
neutral stimuli had no effect to a response , but through repeated pairings and association , the conditioned stimuli leads to a conditioned response
