How blood moves through the heart
oxygenated blood exits the heart into the Aorta, transmitted to the all body areas through arteries and then capillaries, becomes deoxygenated, moves to veins and returns to heart through the inferior vena cava into the right atrium, and right ventricle and exits the heart into the pulmonary arteries to the lungs. In the lungs the blood becomes oxygenated and returns to the heart through the pulmonary veins, and then enters the heart left atrium to the left ventricle.
How blood moves through the CV system
arteries carry blood away from heart and veins carry it back to the heart
