What are the magnetic materials? Are these permanent or induced?

Iron, cobalt, steel, and nickel. Induced, they attract when they are in a magnetic field but nowhere else

What will a magnetic material always do?

Attract to a magnet

When drawing a magnetic field, how many lines do you have to draw at each end?

4 each end, 2 each side.

When drawing a magnetic field, which way do the arrows face?

In at South, out of North

What is an electromagnet?

A coil of wire that has a current running through it, generating it’s own magnetic field

What is a solenoid?

The coil of wire

Can electromagnets be turned on and off?

Yes

What is the right hand grip rule?

Thumb is the direction that the current goes

Fingers point the direction of the magnetic field lines
