What is alliteration?
The repetition of consonant sounds at the beginning of words.
What is an allusion?
A reference to a well-known person, place, event, literary work, or work of art.
Who is the antagonist?
A character or force in conflict with the main character.
What is direct characterization?
The author directly states a character's traits.
What is indirect characterization?
A character's traits are revealed through their actions, thoughts, speech, etc.
What is the climax of a story?
The turning point of the story.
What is connotation?
The emotional association connected to a word.
