Eye Piece Lense
The lens you look through at the top of the microscope.
Nose Piece
Holds the objective lenses and can be rotated to change magnification.
Arm
The frame of the microscope that supports the body tube.
Stage Clips
Holds the slide in place on the stage.
Course Focus Knob
Used for large-scale focusing adjustments.
Fine Focus Knob
Used for precise focusing adjustments.
Objective Lense
The lens closest to the sample, magnifies the image.
Stage
The platform where the slide is placed for viewing.
Diaphragm
Controls the amount of light passing through the specimen.
Light or Mirror
Provides light for viewing the specimen; can be a light or mirror.
Base
The bottom support of the microscope.
