Accordion Door
a hinged door consisting of a system of panels which are hung from an overhead track.
Acoustical Door
it is a solid, heavy door which is gasketed along the top and sides; especially constructed to reduce noise transmission through it.
Aluminum Door
a door having aluminum stiles and rails; usually glazed
Barn-Door Hanger
a hanger for an exterior sliding door; consists of a frame which moves along horizontal track, supported by rollers.

a small wheel which rolls along a horizontal track and guides the movement of the door.
Stile
one of the upright structural members of a frame, as at the outer edge of a door or a window sash.
Batten Door (Unframed Door)
a wooden door without stiles which is constructed or
vertical boards held together by horizontal battens.
Door Jamb
it is the vertical member on each side of the door.
Door Louver
in a door, it is an opening with a series of slats, blades, or piercing which permits the passage of the air.
Door Trim
the casing or moldings used around a door frame to conceal the crack or joint between the frame and wall or for decorative effects.
Flush Door
a smooth-surface door having faces which are plane and which conceal its rails and stiles or other structure (hollow core door).
Folding Door
one or two or more panels which are hinged together so that they can open and fold in a confined space.
Full-Flush Door
a door of hollow-metal construction, formed from two sheets of steel.
Full-Glass Door
a door having glass (usually heat-strengthened or tempered) in the entire area between rails and stiles.
Jamb Anchor
a metal device inserted in the back of the jamb of a door frame or window frame to anchor the frame to the concrete wall.
Knob
a handle, more or less spherical, usually for operating a lock.
Knob Lock
a door lock with a spring bolt controlled by one or two knobs and a deadbolt controlled by a key.
Knob Rose
a round disk or plate fastened to the face of a door around the hole in the door through which the door knob spindle passes.
Panel Door
a door having stiles, rails and sometimes mutins which form one or more frames around recessed panels.
Aluminum Window
a window consisting of a number of top-hinged horizontal sashes one above the other, the bottom edges of which swing outwards; operated by one control device.
Awning Window
any window constructed principally of aluminum or steel, the
components of which usually are extruded.
Bay Window
it is a window that projects from the face of the wall.
Casement Window
window which swing open along its entire length; usually on hinges fixed to the slide of the opening into which it is fitted.
Ceiling
the overhead surface of a room, usually a covering or decorative treatment used to conceal the floor above or the roof.
Ceiling Joist
these are nailers to which the ceiling is attached
Ceiling Strap or Hanger
a strip of wood, nailed to the underside of floor joists or rafters
from which the ceiling is suspended or fastened.
Cornice
an ornamental molding usually of wood or plaster, running around the walls of the room just below the ceiling.
Cornice Return
it is the continuation of a cornice in a different direction, usually at right angles, as at the gable end of the house.

Cove
a concave or canted interior corner or molding, esp. at the transition from wall to ceiling or floor.
Cove bracketing
a series of wood brackets or the framing set to receive the laths for a cove, as in constructing a cove ceiling.
Coved Ceiling
a ceiling having a cove at the wall lines or elsewhere.
Cove Lighting
lighting from sources which are out of sight, atop of wall molding; shielded by a ledge or horizontal recess and which distribute light over the ceiling and upper walls.
Cove molding
it is a molding having a concave face; often used as trim.
Baseboard
a flat projection from an interior wall or partition at the floor, covering the joint between the floor and the wall and protecting the wall from kicking, mopping, etc.
