St Dominic De Guzman

Castillian religious priest, founder of the Order of Preachers.

He was filled with a zeal of the truth of the gospel and believed in discipline in studies. He and the Dominicans are credited with spreading and popularizing the rosary.

St. Thomas Aquinas

Known as the greatest of the scholastic philosophers.

Father of school of thought known as "Thomism" (the teachings which combine faith, reason, and morality to understand god, the world, and human life.)

St. Albert the Great

One of the most notable medieval saints. He taught theology at the University of Paris, where one of his students was St. Thomas Aquinas.

He is considered one of the Church’s greatest scholars.

St. Martin de Porres

Despite being born into a poor, marginalized and broken family, he was celebrated for his charity and justice.

He is known as the patron saint of social and interracial justice. He was dedicated to healing the sickly as a compassionate public health service worker.

St. Raymond of Peñafort

He graduated law at an early age and started teaching Canon Law. Around 10 years later, he gave up all his honorifics and devoted his life to the Dominican church. He then co-founded the Order of Mercedarians, for the purpose of ransoming Christian who were taken captive.

St. Vincent Ferrer

Best known for his missionary work spreading the teachings of Christ across Western Europe, he is now considered one of the builders of the Church.

He also accompanied Antipope Benedict XII during the Western Schism.

St. (San) Lorenzo Ruiz

the first canonized Filipino Saint. He became the country’s protomartyr after his execution.

St. Catherine of Sienna

She was known as an advocate and a diplomat who frequently engaged in papal and Italian politics. Many people believed she was a mystic, who saw  and had a deep union with God and created The Dialogue.

She is the first female doctor of the church.

St. Rose of Lima

Known for her piety and chastity, she loved to pray her penances, not for their own sake but as pure expressions of her love for Jesus.

Blessed Fra Angelico

An Italian Dominican friar and Renaissance painter. He created a series of frescos for the Dominican convent of San Marco in Florence.

He created a variant of the famous Christian painting Annunciation, which depicts the angel Gabriel visiting Mary.

St. Pius the V

He was the head of the Catholic church as a Pope, and is best known for leading the Counter-Reformation, battling against church corruption and put the rules of the Council of Trent into action.
