Tree

Elbow on hand, move hand left and right.

Baby

Universal baby sign.

You

Point at other person.

Me

Point to yourself

Swim

Universal swim sign.

How

Fists together with thumbs up, open out.

Hello

Like a salute.

House

Roof than sides to make house shape.

Welcome

Hand out with palm up, bring to stomach.

Please

Palm or fist facing you, wave in circle around belly.

Car

Universal driving sign.

No

Pointer and middle finger to thumb.

Eat

All fingers touch, put to mouth.

Book

Universal book sign (opening book).

Glass (to drink)

One hand flat, other in C shape like holding a glass.

Drink

Bring glass (c shape) to mouth and tilt it towards mouth.

Thanks

Palms towards signer, finger tips touching chin, bring out.

Fine

Hand up, bring out from Sternum.

Deaf

Touch finger to ear and then to chin.

Hearing

Rotate finger away from lips.

Monkey

Universal monkey sign.

Again

Like taking something from one palm, bringing it in a clockwise circle back to open palm.

Slow

Run hand up forearm.

Understand

Finger up in air and bend up and down,

Don’t understand

Finger up in air (like holding up number 1, and bending up and down.) shake head too

Ball

Universal ball sign.

Bye

Wave goodbye, universal.

Balloon

Ball getting bigger, blow into it, Puff cheeks

Have

Bring hands towards chest.

Just point

Walk

Hands in front of the other.

To show thick

Blow out cheeks/hold hands out wide

To show thin

Suck in cheeks/hold hands close together

To show big

Hands wide/exuberant
