imaginary lines that run east and west and measure north and south
Longitude
imaginary lines that run North and South and measure east and west

0 degrees. The starting point for longitude
Equator
0 degrees. The starting point for latitude
Hemisphere
tw0 of the halves, either Northern and Southern or Eastern and Western
Globe
a spherical map of the earth

A map that shows roads and highways
Historical Map
A map that shows the way a place used to look
Political Map
A map that shows human- made boundaries and names

an area that shares similar characteristics

the learned behavior of people, beliefs, religions, traditions, languages, etc

long-term weather and conditions of a place

the resources , agriculture, jobs, and income of a place
