Allegory
A story that has an obvious meaning on the outside but as well as a hidden meaning when you dig deeper.
Alliteration
The repetition of beginning sounds in words forming a pattern.
Allusion
A reference to something from a story, something that happened in the past, mythology, or religion.
Ambiguity
When a phrase is clear because it can be perceived two different ways
Anachronism
Something placed in the wrong time period
