Wilson had a large stroke in 1919 and that pretty much made him an ineffective leader for the rest of his life, so there was a lot that wasn't done or kept up with. Then Warren G. Harding was elected and he inherited the issues of: race riots, the aftershock of the red scare, still being technically at war with Germany, and foreign policy in the caribbean being "adrift", the economy was also in a post-war slump. Identify the reasons for the post WW I economic boom in America.

People had a lot of savings because during the war a lot of consumer goods were not available for purchase, then those products became available, and people started buying those products. This also increased employment because so many people were buying consumer products that the demand increased so they had more jobs to give people. Also, there was very little competition from Europe because most of Europe was reconstructing itself after the war. Manufacturing switches back to domestic products

Be familiar with how Andrew Mellon’s trickle-down economics worked.

The idea was that cutting taxes for the wealthy would spur the rich to invest their money into the economy and to create jobs for the middle class, and the middle class would stimulate the economy by buying stuff and this would continue. The issue is that instead of the money being reinvested in job creation is that the rich just put their money into the stock market.
This happened to save Andre Mellon 800K in taxes.
