Ongoing learning and development activities that professionals engage in to maintain or improve their knowledge and skills in their field.

Licensing

The mandatory process administered by a government authority, such as the Professional Regulation Commission, to grant professionals the legal authorization to practice their profession.

Foundation of Teacher Education

The legal documents and acts that professionalized teaching in the Philippines, such as Presidential Decree 1006 and Republic Act 7896.

Teaching as Vocation

The calling or strong urge to teach, where teachers see their profession as a service to others rather than just a job for financial gain.

Teaching as Mission

The task entrusted to teachers in this world, where their purpose is to fulfill their mission of teaching and making a positive impact on the lives of their students.

"Pwede na" Mentality

The mindset of settling for mediocrity and accepting "good enough" instead of striving for excellence in mission preparation and accomplishment.
