Titration
A lab technique used to determine the concentration of a solution.
NaOH
Sodium hydroxide, the substance whose concentration is being determined.
HCl
Hydrochloric acid, a solution with a known concentration (0.10 mol/L) used in the titration.
Buret
A graduated glass tube with a tap at one end, for delivering known volumes of a liquid, especially in titration.
Erlenmeyer flask
A flask with a conical base and a cylindrical neck, used to hold liquids during a titration.
Phenolphthalein
An indicator used to detect the endpoint of the titration (colorless).
Endpoint
The point in a titration where the indicator changes color, signaling the completion of the reaction.
Molarity (mol/L)
A unit of concentration, defined as the number of moles of solute per liter of solution.
m/V%
Another way to express concentration, mass per volume percentage.
Titration Calculation
Calculations are to determine the concentration of NaOH in mol/L and m/V%.
