Murder (Ubistvo)

A criminal offense against life and body defined as depriving another person of life through an act of commission or omission, requiring intent (direct or eventual) and a causal relationship between the act and the fatal outcome.

Aggravated Murder (Teško ubistvo)

A qualified form of murder committed under specific statutory aggravating circumstances, such as cruel or insidious execution, ruthless violent behavior, financial gain, or targeting official persons, judges, prosecutors, children, or pregnant women.

Manslaughter / Murder on the Spur of the Moment (Ubistvo na mah)

A privileged form of murder committed immediately following an unprovoked attack, severe mistreatment, or severe insult by the victim that brought the perpetrator into a state of intense mental agitation without their own fault.

Infanticide at Birth (Ubistvo deteta pri porođaju)

A privileged form of murder where a mother deprives her child of life during childbirth or immediately after, while suffering from a physical or psychological disorder caused by the birth process.

Mercy Killing / Active Euthanasia (Lišenje života iz samilosti)

A privileged form of murder defined as depriving an adult person of life out of compassion, based on their explicit, serious, and objective request while in an incurable, terminal medical condition causing severe suffering.

Negligent Homicide (Nehatno lišenje života)

A criminal offense where a person causes the death of another through conscious or unconscious negligence, acting carelessly without intent to cause death.

Participation in a Fight (Učestvovanje u tuči)

A criminal offense committed by participating in a physical fight involving at least three people, in which someone is killed or suffers severe bodily harm, where death or severe injury serves as an objective condition of incrimination.

Abandonment of a Helpless Person (Napuštanje nemoćnog lica)

Leaving a helpless person entrusted to one's care or whom one is obligated to care for without assistance in circumstances dangerous to life or health.

Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty (Protivpravno lišenje slobode)

Unlawfully locking up, keeping locked up, or otherwise depriving or restricting another person's freedom of movement.

Abduction / Kidnapping (Otmica)

Taking away or detaining a person by force, threat, deception, or other means with the intent to extort money or property benefits, or to compel them or another person to perform, omit, or endure an action.

Coercion (Prinuda)

Compelling another person through force or threat to do, omit, or endure something against their will.

Ill-Treatment and Torture (Zlostavljanje i mučenje)

Subjecting another person to mistreatment, degrading behavior, or inflicting great pain/suffering with the intent to extract a confession, statement, or to intimidate or unlawfully punish them.

Endangering Safety (Ugrožavanje sigurnosti)

Threatening an attack on the life or body of a specific person or someone close to them, causing a subjective feeling of insecurity in the victim.

Stalking (Proganjanje)

Persistently tracking, contacting, misusing personal data, or threatening another person without authorization over a period of time in a manner that can significantly disrupt their personal life.

Rape (Silovanje)

Compelling another person to engage in sexual intercourse or an equivalent sexual act through the use of force or threat of immediate attack on life or body.

Domestic Violence (Nasilje u porodici)

Endangering the peace, physical integrity, or mental state of a family member through violence, threats to attack life or body, or insolent and reckless behavior.

Failure to Pay Maintenance (Nedavanje izdržavanja)

Failing to provide statutory support for a person one is legally obligated to maintain, as established by an enforceable court decision or settlement.

Theft (Krađa)

Taking away another person's movable property with the intent to obtain unlawful property gain for oneself or another by appropriating it.

Aggravated Theft (Teška krađa)

Theft committed under specific statutory aggravating circumstances, such as breaking or entering closed premises, acting in a group, operating in an exceptionally dangerous/impudent manner, or involving property valued over 450,000 dinars.

Robbery Theft (Razbojnička krađa)

A compound offense where a perpetrator caught in the act of theft uses force or immediate threat against life or body after the taking, with the intent to retain the stolen property.

Robbery (Razbojništvo)

Taking away another person's movable property by using force or immediate threat against life or body prior to or during the taking, with the intent to obtain unlawful material gain.

Embezzlement / Misappropriation (Utaja)

Appropriating another person's movable property that was entrusted to the perpetrator, with the intent to obtain unlawful property gain.

Fraud (Prevara)

Inducing or maintaining another person in error by false representation or concealment of facts, causing them to act or refrain from acting to the detriment of their own or another's property.

Extortion (Iznuda)

Compelling another person through force or threat to do or omit something to the detriment of their own or another's property, with the intent to obtain unlawful property gain.

Concealment / Fencing (Prikrivanje)

Hiding, distributing, buying, receiving as a pledge, or acquiring property known to be obtained through a criminal offense, or property obtained through its sale or exchange.

Tax Evasion (Poreska utaja)

Giving false data or failing to report required facts regarding earned income with the intent to evade paying tax, contributions, or other duties exceeding 1,000,000 dinars.

Abuse of Position by a Responsible Person (Zloupotreba položaja odgovornog lica)

Exploiting one's position or authority, exceeding limits of authority, or failing to perform duties as a responsible person to obtain unlawful property gain or cause property damage.

Illicit Trade (Nedozvoljena trgovina)

Acquiring goods of significant value for sale without authorization, engaging in trade or brokerage on a large scale without authority, or selling self-manufactured unauthorized goods.

Counterfeiting Money (Falsifikovanje novca)

Making counterfeit money or altering genuine money with the intent to put it into circulation as genuine, or acquiring/putting counterfeit money into circulation.

Money Laundering (Pranje novca)

Converting, transferring, concealing, acquiring, possessing, or using property known to originate from criminal activity, in order to conceal or falsely represent its unlawful origin.

Forest Theft (Šumska krađa)

Felling one or more trees exceeding one cubic meter in volume in a forest, park, or tree avenue for the purpose of theft.

Causing General Danger (Izazivanje opšte opasnosti)

Creating a concrete danger to human life, body, or large-scale property (exceeding 1,200,000 dinars) through fire, flood, explosion, poison, radiation, electrical power, or other dangerous acts or means.

Endangering Public Traffic (Ugrožavanje javnog saobraćaja)

Violating traffic regulations on roads as a traffic participant, creating a concrete danger to life, body, or large-scale property, resulting in light bodily injury or property damage exceeding 200,000 dinars.

Espionage (Špijunaža)

Communicating, delivering, or making accessible military, economic, or official secrets/documents to a foreign state, foreign organization, or person serving them.

Preventing an Official from Performing an Official Act (Sprečavanje službenog lica u vršenju službene radnje)

Using force or immediate threat of force to prevent an official person from performing their official duty or compelling them to perform an official act within their jurisdiction.

Giving a False Statement (Davanje lažnog iskaza)

Providing a statement confirming untrue facts or denying true facts before a court or administrative proceeding by a witness, expert, translator, interpreter, or party.

Trading in Influence (Trgovina uticajem)

Demanding, receiving, promising, or giving a gift or other benefit to mediate the execution or non-execution of an official act by exploiting one's official or social position or influence.

Accepting a Bribe (Primanje mita)

Demanding, receiving, or accepting a promise of a gift or benefit by an official person to perform an official act they should not perform, or omit an act they must perform within their authority.

Human Trafficking (Trgovina ljudima)

Recruiting, transporting, transferring, selling, purchasing, concealing, or holding a person using force, threat, deception, or abuse of authority/vulnerability to exploit their labor, forced labor, prostitution, or organ removal.

Terrorism (Terorizam)

Committing acts such as attacks on life/liberty, kidnapping, destruction of public facilities, or release of hazardous substances with the intent to intimidate the population, compel a state/international organization, or destabilize core constitutional structures.
