Rotational Motion
describes the movement of an object as it rotates around in fixed axis.
Rigid Body
Fluid
Key Characteristics of Rotational Motion
Rigid Body
The whole object rotates as one solid piece and it does not bend or change shape while spinning.
Fluids
they don't always spin as one solid piece - different parts can move at different speeds.
There is spinning, turning, or rotating.
The points on the body vary in linear displacement.
The points on the body vary in direction.
The points on the body travel with the same duration (time).
The points on the body vary in linear velocity.
The points on the body vary in linear acceleration.
