Why can life expectancy and life span be different due to behavioral risk factors?
Life expectancy is the average age a person is expected to live, but risky behaviors, like drinking and driving, can lead to early death, making someone’s actual life span shorter than expected
What is the difference between modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors? Give 2 examples of each.
Modifiable risk factors can be changed or controlled, like lack of exercise and drugs / substance use. Non-modifiable risk factors cannot be changed, like genetic disorders and environmental factors (e.g. climate)
