What is the Recommended RX Siting Position?
Straight back in the Chair
Provide Support if Needed
Never rolling stool
Kips Knee at 90 degree/ Feet flat on floor
Pillow in lap support shoulders
Pillow in the back region support the lordotic curve
Small stool bottom of the feet for short pts.
What is the Recommended RX Supine Position?
Pt. on back
1 pillow best for head
unless cervical pain
small roll towel for curve support under neck
if pt. cannot tolerate then add more
Pillow/ towel underneath knees should be approximately 45 degrees
Small towel roll ankles underneath when heel ulcers are present
What is the Recommended RX Prone Position?
On stomach pillow placed underneath
Assisted Flattening back for comfort
No pillow under head unless pt. cannot tolerate
Feet can hang/ or float over piller
