Maxilla

largest facial bone in the dog’s skull. Supports the upper teeth and forming part of the nasal and oral cavities

Nasal

forms roof and sides of the nasal cavity. Separates the nasal passages from the rest of the skull and supports the nasal bones.

Frontal

forms front part of the skull. Helps protect the brain and supports the finical structures of the face.

Parietal

flat bone that forms part of the roof of the skull. Helps protect the brain

Temporal

bone of each side that helps form the walls of the skull. Supports jaw muscles and houses parts of the ear and related structures

Occipital

Bone on the back and base of the skull. Protects the brainstem and keeps head stable and connected to the neck

Zygomatic

projections of the temporal bone that forms an arch. provides attachment for jaw muscles and contributes to orbital structure.
