Analyze context/narrative of sources by developing questions and using hypothesis, interpretation, and evaluation. Consider how PS can be used in your own projects, and the ability to make one’s own primary source.
Ethical Concepts
Understand how laws such as privacy rights, donor agreements, CC, etc affect ability to use PS and how their own scholarship can affect the creators/readers of the PS
Theoretical Concepts
Recognize absences, how PS can reinforce societal power, analyze interplay between PS and SS, and generally use concepts such as evidenence, authenticity, historical emathy, agency, value, and privilege
Practical Considerations
Practical skills such as finding, accessing, and handeling PS. Be aware of procedures, terms, and databases to research.
