Proteins
Composed of amino acids and often called 'the building blocks of life,' these are crucial for building and repairing tissues.
Vitamins
Micronutrients that assist in metabolism, immune function, and vision, including 13 essential types like A, C, D, and B.
Minerals
Micronutrients necessary for maintaining healthy bones, teeth, and muscles, and for regulating body fluids and producing energy.
Fats

Water

Running
A form of locomotion involving moving rapidly on foot with a series of strides.
Skipping
A playful movement where a person moves forward by hopping on one foot while intermittently pushing off the ground with the other.
Hopping
A dynamic movement involving propelling the body off the ground with one foot and landing on the same foot.
Jumping
A vertical or horizontal movement where a person propels themselves off the ground using both feet simultaneously.
Galloping
A type of movement where a person moves forward by taking a step with one foot and bringing the other foot to meet it.
Sliding
Moving laterally by taking sideways steps with alternating feet to maintain a low center of gravity.
Leaping
A dynamic movement where a person jumps forcefully off one foot and lands on the other foot, often with a long, powerful stride.
Bending or Flexing
Movement at a joint to decrease the angle between two body segments, such as bending the elbow.
Stretching
Movement involving the lengthening of muscles to increase flexibility and range of motion, categorized as static or dynamic.
Rotating
Movement around an axis that causes a body part to turn or twist, such as rotating the head or torso.
Swinging
A rhythmic, pendulum-like motion of a body part or the entire body.
Pulling
Using muscles to draw or drag an object toward oneself or in a specific direction by overcoming resistance.
Pushing
Using muscles to exert force away from oneself or in a specific direction.
Throwing
Thrusting an object into space using arm movement and total body coordination to generate force.
Catching
Using the hands to stop and control a moving object, which requires tracking the object's path.
Striking
The act of hitting an object with an implement, such as a bat, racket, or hand.
Kicking
A striking action made with either foot, including types like punting and placekicking.
Punting
A type of kicking where the ball is dropped from the hands and kicked before it touches the ground.
Placekicking
Kicking a ball that is in a stationary position on the ground.
Trapping
Stopping a tossed object using various parts of the body while keeping eyes on the object.
Dribbling
Maneuvering a ball under the control of a single player in a given direction.
PRADSE
An acronym for instructional strategies: Perceived Competence, Relatedness, Autonomy, Individuality, Social Support, and Enjoyment.
STEPS
A framework for activity modification: Space, Task, Equipment, People, and Safety.
Physique
The form, size, and development of a person's body, relating to body composition, muscle mass, and physical attributes.
Aerobic Capacity
The ability of the heart, lungs, and circulatory system to supply oxygen to muscles during sustained physical activity.
Psychomotor Domain
The domain involving motor skills and physical movement, including coordination, balance, agility, and dexterity.
Cognitive Domain
Mental processes involved in learning, including knowledge, comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
Affective Domain
Domain relating to emotions, attitudes, and values, including motivation and self-esteem.
