  • Contain organelles: small, double membrane bound structures that perform specific functions: ex. Nucleus, mitochondria, chloroplast

  • Some are microorganisms; some macroscopic

Bacteria and Archaea:

  • 10 times smaller than eukaryotes

  • Lack membrane bound organelles but they do still have ribosomes

  • All are microorganisms
