Lead

Subscriber
A person who has signed up specifically to receive a newsletter.
Trigger
A specific event, such as a form submission, that initiates an automated process.
Action
A specific task performed by an automated system, such as automatically sending a welcome email.
Workflow
An automated marketing process consisting of a series of steps, like sending a welcome email followed by waiting for 3 days to send another.
Enrolled
The state of a customer when they join or are added to an automation workflow after signing up.
Sequence
A series of emails, such as Email #1, Email #2, and Email #3, sent over a specific period like two weeks.
Integration
A connection where data, such as customer information, is automatically sent from HubSpot to another platform like Salesforce.
Zapier
A tool used to connect different applications, such as automatically creating a HubSpot contact from Google Sheets.
HubSpot
A CRM and marketing platform used to manage contacts, emails, workflows, and customer data.
Field (property)
The storage location for specific customer data such as first name, email address, or company.
Personalization
A marketing technique where recipient-specific data is used in an email, such as addressing a recipient as "Hi Jessica" instead of "Hi there."
A/B testing
Testing two different versions of a component, like subject lines, to determine which version results in more opens.
Deliverability
A marketing concept focused on whether emails successfully land in the recipient's inbox instead of the spam folder.
Email campaign
An overall marketing project comprising multiple emails, such as a Black Friday promotion.
CRM
A system designed to store and manage customer information and interactions.
Open Rate
The metric tracked when monitoring how many people (e.g., 250 out of 1,000) opened a sent email.
Click-Through Rate (CTR)
The metric tracked when monitoring how many people (e.g., 40 out of 1,000) clicked a link within an email.
Conversion Rate
The metric tracked when monitoring how many people (e.g., 15) made a purchase after clicking an email link.
