Theology

It can be defined in two ways. Firstly as the disciplined exploration of the presuppositions, content, and consequences of Divine Revelation. Secondly as faith seeking reason or understanding

Natural Theology

The type of theology found with natural or unaided intellect. It is often referred to as theism

Revealed Theology

The communication of truth and knowledge from God to His children on earth, suited to their language and understanding. Otherwise known as “Divine revelation” or “divine self disclosure”

“The Christian Era”

The period of time which beings with the date on which Jesus Christ was born. Referred to as AD (anno Domini) which mean in the year of our Lord; it is in common use thought the world.

Christendom

Refers to the impact of Christians on the world, not just as a people but as a body requiring territory and having historical influence

Destruction of the Temple in AD 70

After the Romans laid siege to Jerusalem retaking and destroying the city, the Jews were exported to Babylonia . Here Jewish worship transferred from being centrally organized around the temple to being dependent on the rabbis who acted as teachers and leaders of individual communities

Greek Philosophy and Christian Fatih

Philosophy is a tool by which theology can be better understood; it is a gist form God that when applied correctly can be helpful in discerning his will. Much how the Jews melted the golden idols of the Egyptians to make something for the glory of God

Newman on God and Theology

Humanity has a logos nature, and God uses this to reveal himself to as. As such natural sciences can be utilized to create a better understanding of theological ideas.
