Force
A push or pull applied on an object that changes or tends to change the state of motion.
Vector Quantity
A quantity that has both magnitude and direction, such as force.
SI Unit of Force
Newton (N).
Interaction of Objects
At least two objects must interact for a force to come into play.
Types of Forces
Forces are categorized into two types: Contact and Non-Contact.
Magnitude and Direction of Force
Force has both magnitude (strength) and direction.
Formula for Force
Force = mass (m) x acceleration (a).
Contact Forces
Forces that require physical contact between objects.
Non-Contact Forces
Forces that act at a distance, such as gravitational or magnetic forces.
Acceleration (a) in Force Equation
The rate of change of velocity produced by the applied force.
