Encoding

in communication, this is the CHANNEL that allows a message to be relayed (e.g. TV, social media, etc)
decoding process
In communication, this is where a recipient takes messages, and signs or symbols and converts these into concepts and ideas; can be impacted by previous experiences or even current mood
noise
in communication, this is anything that interferes with, distorts, or slows down the transmission of information

The relationship between the author, the audience, the text/message, and the context. Includes ETHOS, PATHOS, and LOGOS.
