What is the action of laying on of handa and anointing with the Sacred Chrism for?
Laying on of hands is the gift of the Holy Spirit that completes the grace of Baptism and prepetuated the grace of Pentecost in the Church. Chrism comes from the word meaning “Christian” which means “anointed” and derives from Christ himself whom God “anointed with the Holy Spirit”. (CCC 1288 & 1289)
What is the meaning of Baptismal Promises?
During my baptism, my parents and godparents made promises to renounce Satan and belive in God and the church on my behalf. At my confirmation I renew those same promises, which means it is time to speak for yourself.
During Baptism and Confirmation you recive a permanent mark on your soul. What is the term for this type of permanet mark?

It means a full outpouring of the Holy Sprit, binds us more closely to the church and to christ, increasing the Gifts of Holy Sprit.

It is the first and highest gifts of the holy spirit. This gift makes the soul responsive to god in the contemplation of divine things. Wisdom goes on to a certain divine penetration of the truth themselves. With this gift we see god at work in our lives & in our lives take a deeper meaning &purpose.
What is understanding?
This gift of the Holy Spirit, gives the mind the ability to grasp the revealed truth of the faith easily & profoundly. It gives insight into the meaning of what a person believes as a Catholic. With this gift we can comprehend how we need to live as a follower of Jesus Christ. A person with understanding is not confused by all the conflicting messages in our culture about the right way to live.
What is piety?
Honor & reverence given to the one responsible for our existence & well-being, God our Creator. It is best described as having a deep sense of respect for God & the Church. This gift perfects the virtue of religion, which is the practice of justice toward God. Piety enables a person to see in God not only ones' sovereign Master but a loving Father. This gift van also be known as the reverence.
What is knowledge?
This gift perfects the virtue of faith. It gives a person the ability to judge everything from a supernatural viewpoint. It allows someone to look at all of God's creation & realize that it all leads back to Him. The faithful can see the providential purpose of whatever enters their lives. With this gift we understand the meaning of God's Revelation, especially as expressed in the life & words of Jesus Christ.
What is fortitude?
Ensures firmness in difficulties & constancy in doing the good. Sometimes called courage, strength, or might. This gift confers an extraordinary readiness to undergo trials for the love of God or in fulfillment of the divine will.
What is counsel?
This gift perfects the virtue of prudence. Its function is to enable a person to judge promptly & rightly, as by sort of supernatural intuition in what should be done, especially in difficult situations. With this gift, the Holy Spirit, speaks to the heart & enlightens a person what to do.
What is the fear of god?
This gift confirms the virtue of hope & inspires a person with profound respect for the majesty & beauty of God. It can also be known as wonder and awe. With this gift we are aware of the glory & the majesty of God. A person with wonder and awe, knows that God is the perfection of all we desire: perfect knowledge, perfect goodness, perfect power & perfect love.
