Asymptomatic Carrier

The stage of HIV infection where initial symptoms such as fever, chills, aches, swollen lymph glands, and rashes disappear, but the standard HIV blood test for the presence of antibody becomes positive.

AIDS-Related Complex (ARC)

A stage characterized by swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpit, and/or groin persisting for months, along with symptoms like night sweats, cough, flu, persistent diarrhea, memory loss, inability to think clearly, loss of judgment, and depression.

Full-Blown AIDS

The final stage of HIV infection, marked by severe weight loss, weakness due to persistent diarrhea, and opportunistic infections including Kaposi's sarcoma, fungal infections, and diseases of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, nervous system, and eye.

Kaposi's sarcoma

An opportunistic infection that presents during the final stage of HIV, known as Full-Blown AIDS.
