Connective Tissue Layers
These layers not only protect the muscle but also help transmit the force generated during contraction.
Epimysium
The tough outer layer surrounding the entire muscle like skin.
Perimysium
Divides the muscles into smaller bundles called fascicle.
Fascicle
A bundle of 10 to 100 muscle fibres (cells) grouped together.
Endomysium
This delicate layer surrounds each individual muscle fibre within a fascicle.
