reflected humanism : order,balance, symmetry, reason, perfection, ideal proportions

• Temples glorified the gods

a non-religious philosophy that focuses on human value, reason, and making the best of life in the present

Roman Philosophy

Efficiency, organization, practicality, functionality, & CONTROL (less idealized than Greeks but did get inspo from them)

BIG to emphasize respect, made out of concrete, arches, vaults, domes (civic buildings)

a sculpted, cast, or molded artwork that shows a person's head, neck, and upper chest

not idealized, brutally honest, meant to look like the person in power
