Trialog
An exchange on equal footing between three groups: people with mental illnesses, their relatives, and professionals from the health and social sectors.
Mental Health
A state of being emotionally balanced, able to cope with stress, maintain relationships, and manage daily life independently.
Feelings of Relatives (Mental Illness)
A range of emotions including worry, helplessness, being overwhelmed, sadness, desperation, guilt, or feeling misunderstood while suffering alongside the sick person.
Trialog Participants
The three key groups involved: affected individuals (patients), relatives, and specialist staff such as doctors, nurses, and therapists.
Aims of Trialog
To share experiences, promote mutual understanding, find common solutions, reduce prejudice, and improve cooperation among all parties.
Social Participation Impacts
The effects of mental illness on daily life, which can include difficulties at work/school, social isolation, exclusion, stigmatization, and the need for daily support.
Trialog Support Functions
Promotes mutual understanding, enables the exchange of experience, reduces prejudice, and improves the cooperation of all those involved.
