Weekdays
The days of the week including Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Weekend
The days of the week consisting of Saturday and Sunday.
In advance
Payment or action completed before a specific time or event, often related to financial transactions.
Annual fee
A charge that occurs once every year for a membership or service.
Monthly membership
A subscription or enrollment that is paid for or renewed every month.
Tuition fees
The money paid to a school, college, or university for instruction.
Bank statement
A printed record of the balance in a bank account and the amounts that have been paid into it and withdrawn from it.
Low-risk investment
A financial investment that offers a lower chance of losing the principal amount.
Mortgage
A legal agreement by which a bank lends money at interest in exchange for taking title of the debtor's property, with the condition that the conveyance of title becomes void upon the payment of the debt.
Grace period
A period of time after a payment becomes due, before one is subject to late penalties or interest.
Budget deficit
A status of financial health in which expenditures exceed revenue.
Retail voucher
A physical or digital document that can be exchanged for goods or services in a store.
Counterfeit money
Currency produced without the legal sanction of the state or government; fake money.
Interest-free credit
A loan or debt arrangement where no interest is charged to the borrower for a specific duration.
Duty-free store
A retail outlet whose goods are exempt from the payment of certain local or national taxes and duties.
Anthropology
The academic study of human societies and cultures and their development.
Humanities
Academic disciplines that study aspects of human society and culture, often distinguished from the sciences.
Course outline
A document provided at the start of a class that lists the topics, schedule, and requirements for the study.
Proofreading
The process of reading a text and marking and correcting errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Placement test
An exam given by a school to determine which class or level is appropriate for a student.
Commencement
The ceremony at which students receive their academic degrees; graduation.
Dissertation
A long essay on a particular subject, especially one written as a requirement for a university degree.
Student retention
The ability of an education institution to keep students enrolled through to graduation.
Registrar's office
An administrative office in a university responsible for maintaining student records and handling registration.
Merchandise
Goods to be bought and sold; products available for retail.
