  2. The lorry because that and the cyclist are on the same two way road, it is only the car that is in a junction therefore the car must wait for both to cross and then make its move

Uh no, because the rule of the straight path does not apply to a roundabout. Because it is us that is going in a straight path and not the guy. But you should always try and avoid collision even if the dude doesn’t know the priority rules.

You increase your speed to make room. You can help merging heavy traffic by diverting or regulating your speed. Since you cannot divert here and driving slower is not a solution either, the best thing to do is to speed up so that you make room for the lorries to merge behind you
