Median
The middle number in a set of data when the terms are arranged in order (lowest to highest)
Mean (average)
The sum of all the data divided by the number of terms provided in the data (ex. 3+3+3+4+5+6+6=28, then divided by 7, resulting in a mean of 4.)
Mode
The number that occurs the most in the data (There can be more than one mode on no mode! )
Range ( Not a Whisker thingy )
Range is the difference between the greatest and least number in the data.
Outlier
The value that is too high or too low from the other values which can skew the mean.
Skewed right
A distribution where the majority of the data points are concentrated on the left side, with a tail extending to the right.
Skewed Left
A distribution where most data points are concentrated on the right side, with a tail extending to the left.
First dot from the left ( minimum )
The smallest value in a dataset, marking the beginning of the range of data points.
Where the box starts (Quartile one)
The first quartile in a dataset, where 25% of the data points fall below this value.
